Dan Plaskett

Head of Estate Planning

Dan Plaskett leads Estate Planning at DAG. A Missouri-licensed Attorney at Law and Missouri CPA certificate holder, he studied at the University of Missouri Law School and Central Missouri State University and brings 45 years of experience as a tax attorney, estate planner, business owner, General Counsel, CFO, and financial advisor to scores of business owners. He came out of retirement to work with the firm after meeting Jake Claver at a Dallas meet-and-greet, drawn by the opportunity to offer practical insight into the structure and operation of charitable remainder trusts and to help clients with income, capital gains, and estate tax planning. He is known for putting clients at ease and explaining complicated issues in understandable terms, with strengths in conflict resolution and mediation, analytical reasoning, attention to detail, and task management. Raised in a lower-middle-class working family, he was taught to work hard, do his best, and consider no task beneath him. Outside of work he enjoys fast cars and car shows, shooting at the range, music concerts, and travel, and having lived in Hawaii for 20 years he still loves the beach and being in nature. He stresses that confidentiality and zero judgment are non-negotiable from the first minute of any client relationship.
